Christmas Fund Raising-

Help ActionOverseas raise money for Vietnamese  Students

Young men and women from Ho Chi Minh City  [Vietnam] have been arriving to take up university places and now the Apostolic Church in Vietnam is embracing this as an exciting new opportunity to reach out and engage with some of them, so that Christians and non-Christian can mix effectively – creating a rare and wonderful outreach opportunity!

Many of the young people come from poor areas and are unable to secure decent accommodation in which to live as most of their money is spent on the course itself. David, the leader of the Apostolic Church in Vietnam, along with others in the Ho Chi Minh City church have rented two homes where up to 30 students will live alongside students who are believers.

This is a long term project and partnership between the AC Vietnam and ActionOverseas and includes financial input from the Vietnamese church. We are asking that you partner us in this amazing opportunity by directing your Christmas fundraising to the ‘Vietnam Student Project’ which needs around US$800 per month to be effective.

Please consider this very valuable appeal. Collected funds should be sent in cheque form to the Finance Office and labelled ‘Vietnam Student Project’. Could your church raise enough funding for one month in 2013?!
