Wind-powered advance in Chile!

Have you ever been “caught out” and surprised at how God moves so quickly? This has been our experience in the last few months, as we have prepared the masts and hoisted our sails to catch “The wind of the Spirit”. God has started taking us on a journey of faith to see a developing of Ephesian 4:11 ministries in Chile.   Because God seems to us to be moving fast we have had to trim some of the sails and be ready to move in His direction.  We have had to readjust our strategy to fall in line with God’s timing and ways.

As we have prepared the masts with the vision that we believed that God has given us we are beginning to sail forward.  In our vision statement we believe that God wanted us to start an Ephesian 4:11 School of Ministry for leaders and were planning in this present year to begin to get this up and running.  However, we were asked by a large renewed Baptist Church in Valparaiso to help them establish Ephesian 4 ministries, and part of that has included starting up a School of Ministry for workers and pastors in the church and their affiliated churches. This was started on the 5th May. We presently meet on Monday evenings and Peter along with Pastor Moisés each have an hour’s teaching slot.  It is encouraging to see the way that things are developing along these lines, and at present we have about 50 people attending, while we are presenting a general leveling course.  Then in the third Semester, the plan is to divide the group into those already in the ministry and those interested in learning more.  Exciting!

Another development has been that in our vision statement we were planning to reach out into other emerging, or established apostolic ministries within the country within a 3 to 4 year period.  This is beginning to emerge as we seek to help Pastor Moisés, and his group of churches head up an apostolic ministry.  We are also in the early stages of trying to get together other leaders within Chile who are looking towards apostolic ministry.

Our prayer is that we might be sensitive to the “wind of the Spirit” and be led along at His pace, and timing, with an understanding of His ways for us as a fellowship.
