Charity Auction

The aim of the evening was to raise money towards the purchase a new 4x4 Land Cruiser for our missionaries, Alan and Sandra Skene, allowing the continuation of their crucial work in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa. Our target was to raise £10,000.

We are delighted to announce that thanks to some generous bidding during the auction coupled with numerous donations both large and small we have surpassed our target!

We are still finalising the monies but can confirm that we shall be sending in excess of the target figure. The costs were kept down due to the voluntary help of the various church members who nonetheless produced a fabulous evening. All the profits will be sent to the missionaries and we will publish the event’s accounts just as soon as they are complete. In the meantime the new vehicle is on order so that the life changing work in Malawi can continue.

Our sincere thanks to all who contributed in whatever capacity to the success of the evening and to the amount of money raised to help support the people of Malawi.
