Church meetings in Latvia
Pastor John and Margaret from Latvia write:
We ventured into the school hall where the church meets. The greetings were, as always, sincere; and with them we entered into worship that was Christ-centred and in the enabling of the Holy Spirit.
In this atmosphere ministry is easy. As one stands to speak there are open Bibles, note books and faces smiling at you; from the youth to the Octogenarians they draw out of you more than one prepares. Fair to say that the old are ageing – physically, yet within their spirits they live trusting, hoping, believing and with consummate confidence in God, that their nation shall be touched and that the ‘today people’ of youthful enterprise will catch the torches flame and not allow it to darken into an ember, but that they shall fan it into an even greater blaze of glory.
