Plans for work in Chile in 2010

Peter and Janet Keevil write from Chile, ‘we trust to be able to go forward with buying and modifying the building where we are presently meeting to give us more room for expansion. It is important to have a building that we can call our own, instead of renting, and one which will become the “headquarters” for the future development of the Apostolic Church in Chile. Please pray with us that God will open doors for this vision to become a reality.

Our aim at the beginning of the year is to start buying the house and land where we meet. We anticipate growth in the further developing of people for ministry and leadership. Please realize that most people in the church are either young Christians or those who have recently returned to the Lord and so the teaching and preparation process for ministry and leadership cannot be “rushed”. We are not looking for men like Saul who was unprepared, but for men like David, worshipers and leaders for future generations. By the end of the year we would like to see some of the young men in the church become a lot more involved in the life and ministry of the church.

We need to see more growth numerically and spiritually in the congregation so that it can become a self supporting and propagating church. We need to see a move of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who have received Him as their Saviour, to move into the deeper experience of knowing Him as Lord and Sovereign. This is our prayer for 2010 that many will come to know Christ as Lord of their lives, and then we can move on!’
