AblazeUK raises £18000 for new apostolic children’s home in Burma!

The final night collection of the AblazeUK conference raised in excess of £20,000 for the construction of a home for orphans in Burma. Pastor Emmanuel Mbakwe announced a total given on the night of £18,000 [not including Gift Aid] before the close of the Thursday night
service. ActionOverseas thank God for the generous giving from God’s people. This new initiative is the result of the new partnership with Kids Alive. The donations from AblazeUK will result in a brand new home being built where we will care for 12 orphaned children whose lives have been devastated by cyclone Nargis. Our vision is to build four homes in a children’s village to care for 48 children who need a loving home.

ActionOverseas Board Chairman, Eric Parker, introduced the Kids Alive Director, David Spurdle, to the Ablaze conference at the first service. A video clip on life in Burma was shown at each main meeting. Ahmad Ayoubi, Kids Alive UK Burma Director, commented, ‘we have been delighted to attend AblazeUK. The response from delegates to sponsor a child in Burma has been so encouraging. David and I are thrilled by this start to our new partnership with ActionOverseas’. ActionOverseas will send representation to Burma in November to inspect building progress.
