Feeding Programme

Sandra Skene writes, ‘Last time at the feeding programme the mums asked to speak to me collectively and they told me that they had no food. Occasionally one or two of the mums will come to me quietly and say they have nothing and I try to help as I can. But this is the first time they had ever come collectively with this concern. I had to tell them that the funding I have for the feeding programme only covers the baby cereal, but  that they should pray  for God to put it on someone’s heart to send something so that I could help them.

I left with a heavy heart and spent the rest of the day pondering what I could do to help them.  I was laughing as I realised I already had the answer!  I had completely forgotten that I had received an e-mail just a few days before saying that someone in one of our churches in Wales had sent  £100 for the feeding programme! I have been able to purchase 5kg of maize flour for each family and I am looking forward to going tomorrow to testify to the ladies using  Matthew 6 v 8: “…your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”  Praise the Lord and many thanks to individuals who respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in this kind of giving’.
