National award for Latvian girl

John Yeoman writes, ‘there are some very talented girls in our Sunday School group and we want to tell you about one. Her name is Krista and she is 11 years old and attends Platone Elementary School. She lives with her family in a village of Platone called Peterlauki. In School her favourite subjects are: maths, music, housekeeping, English and Sport. Outside School she enjoys playing with her friends, swimming and helping her mum in the garden.

Recently there were  the Championships in Latvijan Youth Volleyball. Jelgava District had a team of which Krista was part. They competed with teams from Daugavpils, Gulbene and Riga. They were the youngest and smallest team in the competition! But Krista was honoured at the event as the best, most promising and valuable player in all of Latvija for her age group. For this she also received an award. Krista also has a younger sister called Elizabeth, who also comes to Sunday School.
