LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN MALAWI

Alan Skene writes from Malawi: ‘This is the time of year Sandra and I do a bit of travelling to reach some of the more outlying churches. We travelled to the city of Mzuzu and our purpose on this visit was to give seminars to the leaders on the subject of ‘the church and its leaders’.

Four leaders from each district in the North were invited to attend and a positive invitation was given to include the women. Each one who attended the training is now encouraged to take the teaching back to their own local branch and teach the members. A few weeks prior to making our journey to the north we had received reports that one of the churches had lost its’ roof during a storm. We took the chance to go and see the damage for ourselves and were dismayed to see the church almost completely destroyed. This church will need more or less a complete rebuild.’
